I write to try to make sense of the world — because it often doesn't.Spoiler: I still don't understand it, but I keep reading and writing as a way to try).

I grew up dreaming of becoming a writer and an actress, unaware of how my Philology studies and my passion for theatre would eventually lead me to a solid career in international Poetry Slam. Poetry Slam international.

I write in Catalan, Spanish and English because I talk to myself in a mixture of all 3 languages. My poems have been translated into French, Italian, German, Greek and Estonian; as well as printed in Braille. When I'm not on stage or furiously typing poems, I may be found translating, training groups, voicing or writing audio description for the blind. Although, honestly, I'm quite probably just resting.

I'm interested in the role emotions play in systemic oppression. In these times of shifting paradigms, I purposefully choose informed yet bold hope. I believe in the power of poetry to help us envision livable futures.
